大和竭罗

(大和竭羅, 大和竭罗)

Dīpaṃkara. The Buddha of burning light, the twenty-fourth predecessor of Śākyamuni, a disciple of Varaprabha ; v. [lang id =1028]燃 and [lang id =1028]提. In the <Lotus Sutra> he appears from his nirvana on the Vulture Peak with Śākyamuni, manifesting that the nirvana state is one of continued existence.
